Dr. Mary Jane Haemig joined the Luther Seminary in 1999 after serving as Assist. Professor of Religion at Pacific Lutheran University, where she had been since 1994. She has also served as a teaching fellow at Harvard Divinity School. Dr. Haemig graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota and completed her graduate studies at Harvard in 1981. At Luther Seminary, Mary Jane wants her students to understand that the importance of the Reformation lies in the rediscovery of the basic Christian truth: "God in Christ never ceases to reach out to humankind and give them all that is His". As you can see from the titles of the Sessions for this two-day study, we have a wonderful opportunity to review our Lutheran heritage and to strengthen our Faith. Don't miss this great and unique opportunity!

The work of the Lutheran Bible Institute California:
The Lutheran Bible Institute California is a community of students,
faculty, congregations, pastors and laity who seek the person and will of
the living God in and through the written Word.
Our purpose is to educate the people of the congregation in the Word
and the ministry into which He has called them. We are called to "equip
the saints" for the building up of the kingdom of God -- the church, the
called-out people.
Northern California classes are for congregants, pastors, associates,
financial officers, youth directors, education directors, and for anyone
seeking personal enrichment in their faith life.
