Small Groups Ministry at ILC

ChristCare
ChristCare groups are circles of care with Christ at the center. This concept of care comes from Christ’s commandment to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind" and to "love your neighbor as yourself." Mt.22:37,39.

ChristCare groups meet in homes (or at church) 2 to 4 times a month to study God’s Word together and serve others through a group-designated mission focus. Each group spends time building relationships, exploring how to apply God's Word to their daily lives, praying, and serving others.

You are invited to join one or more of our ongoing Christcare groups:

Healing Music Ministry – Men and women who love to sing in a ministry of healing and encouragement to those in care facilities or confined to homes. This group meets regularly on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7:15 – 8:15pm. Contact Sharon Nunnenkamp at marvinnunnenkamp@msn.com for meeting location. LunchBunch – A group for men and women focusing on the study of God’s Word over fellowship and lunch. LunchBunch meets every 2nd and 4th Monday from 11:30 – 1:00pm in the Fireside room at ILC. Contact Mitzie Eddy at mitzieeddy@verizon.net or Gail Wesling at g.wesling@ieee.org. Our LunchBunch group (2005) Quilters – A group for women who enjoy sewing with a purpose. On the 1st and 3rd Monday from 9:30am – noon, they meet in Amundson Hall at ILC to prepare quilts for newborns and clothing for young children in need. For the last several years, quilts and clothing were personally delivered to Colegio Latinoamericano in Cartegena, Colombia to support the missionary ministry of Dan, Berit and Christina Wick. Quilts in the hands of their new owners on Cartagena trip in 2005 Clothing and quilts delivered to the Wick's home in Cartagena, Columbia dresses made for little girls in Cartagena Home Bible Study A Bible study group for couples and singles meets weekly in a group member's home on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:30pm. Lois Lindseth is the contact. She can be reached at clindseth@comcast.net. Sages The Sages meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday mornings at the Saratoga Retirement Community beginning at 9:45am. Yokefellows meets every Thursday morning at 6:30 until 7:30am in the Fireside room at ILC for Bible Study, coffee, and sweet treats. It's a good option for those needing a spiritual lift before heading out to work by 8:00am. Part of the Thursday Morning group Don't forget the sweet treats!
